WHAT!!!? That’s right. This is happening. It is with great pride and excitement we invite you to the first ever Keatley Un-Workshop, taking place in beautiful Seattle, WA. We know there are a million different workshops out there that you can go to, but true to the Keatley style we have pushed ourselves to create a photographic learning experience un-like anything you’ve ever imagined. We decided to go all out in every aspect of the Un-Workshop, including set building, tons of gear, gourmet food, an exciting venue, and this amazing limited edition artwork we commissioned Invisible Creature to create for this event. And that’s just the beginning. You can find out much more about this on our new Workshop page, but sign up soon because space is limited. We can’t wait to see you in February!

Slideluck Seattle
Posted by John Keatley / Filed under Events
After a long, hot, and very busy summer here in the offices, the Keatley team is ready for a little fun, and we are all really looking forward to The Slideluck Potshow on Saturday! Homegrown here in Seattle, the event has gained some great momentum and is now international. Not only does it feature two of our favorites – delicious home cooked food and beautiful art – but it draws a really interesting crowd of some of the best creative people from around town. John is going to be debuting some exciting new work, as well as some fan favorites, and he’s first up so don’t be late! See you there.
Doors open at 7:00pm this Saturday at Voda Studios and the slideshow starts at 9:00pm. You can find out more info at the Slideluck Seattle blog. Hope to see you there.

MiiR / ODW Event and Photography Show
Posted by John Keatley / Filed under Events
For those of you who attended the MiiR / ODW event this past summer, and had the time of your life, you can now relive every moment through pictures, and watch the documentary Beyond the Bottle which we screened that night. It’s all right here in this post. If you weren’t able to attend, you can still look too… just don’t expect to find yourself in the pictures. If you didn’t attend and are really mad at yourself for missing it, ROAD TRIP! We are doing it again this coming Saturday, November 12, in good ol’ Boise, Idaho. Here are the event details and location.
I will be showing my Liberia prints again, as well as doing a silent auction. The goal is to raise money and awareness for the ODW Horn of Africa Relief Fund. There will be food, drinks, beats by DJ Domestic, and a screening of the documentary Beyond The Bottle, which I recommend watching if you want to find out more about the clean water crisis. Hope to see you there.
The following event photos are by my good friends Gabe and Ashley Rodriguez, who are living legends and one of Seattle’s top power couples. A very big thank you goes out to them for documenting this incredible night. Check out Ashley’s recipe and photography blog Not Without Salt, and Gabe’s photography site GabrielBoone.

Photography Show and Film Screening
Posted by John Keatley / Filed under Events
If you are going to be in or around Seattle this Friday, July 29th, I hope you will make plans to come to the opening of my Liberia photography show at the EVO gallery. Doors open at 8:30pm, and MiiR Bottles will be screening the documentary film ‘Beyond the Bottle‘ for the first time at 9:30pm. The address is 122 NW 36th St, Seattle, WA 98107.
There is a suggested $5 donation at the door and all donations will go to our partner One Day’s Wages to provide clean water for those who need it most.
Drinks will be provided by Redhook Brewery and House Wine, as well as beats by DJ Domestic.
It’s going to be a great party, and I hope to see many of you there. Here is the official invite / registration page. While registering is helpful for making preperations, it is worth noting, you do not have to register to attend. So if you decide at the last minute to come, no problem. See you soon!
